Humanitarians stand against cronyism and believe it only hurts the economy by giving unfair business advantages to large corporations who “have friends” in areas of powers. Regulations lobbied by large corporations hurt small companies while helping the large corporations who started the regulation to begin with.

Crony capitalism should not be allowed in the open market economy America was built on. We need to introduce legislation to prohibit crony capitalism by not allowing people in power from benefiting from regulations they help get passed into law. Legislation that tracks the money trail and punishes anyone involved in benefiting from regulations or policies they pass into law.

A legislation needs to be in place to prohibit donations for political campaigns from companies involved in regulations or policies the politicians pass into law. The government should not be involved in a “scratch my back and I’ll scratch your back” system. The government should be protecting the people from these tactics not enforcing them.
